Job description: The Addictions Counselor 1 serves as a member of the Addiction Treatment Center’s (ATC) multidisciplinary treatment team and works under the supervision of a higher-level Addictions Counselor or Licensed Master Social Worker performing duties related to the care and counseling of clients.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • May function as a primary counselor for an assigned group or groups of clients managing all facets of clinical services and direct care.
  • Assists with developing and providing group and individual treatment services to patients throughout the evening and weekend programming.
  • Provides individual and group therapy and facilitates a variety of recreational, vocational, and social activities.
  • Interviews clients and reviews medical/psychiatric history; completes various assessments as part of treatment plan development
  • Monitors patient compliance with treatment goals.
  • Completes required client and facility documentation (both electronic and paper) adhering to applicable OASAS procedures and confidentiality regulations.

Job description: The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) (Hourly) will serve as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. The incumbent will function as an admissions coordinator and may be responsible for managing a small counseling caseload.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • May provide individual, group, and family counseling, as well as crisis intervention.
  • May provide clinical consultation and assistance to members of the professional staff and members of the treatment team, under the clinical supervision of a licensed clinical social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
  • Prepares reports and maintain all records as required.

Possession of a license and current registration as a licensed master social worker in New York State is required. Candidates must be eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Assesses individual’s skill levels and identifies appropriate methods to teach/assist individuals in acquiring, improving, and maintaining life skills.

Completes required habilitation documentation in accordance with agency and program requirements.

Develops and updates Staff Action Plans (SAPs) in accordance with the Life Plan.

Develops and updates Safeguard Summary Plans (SSPs) as needed.

Trains staff on the implementation of Staff Action Plan outcomes and documentation of individual’s response to services.

Monitors the implementation of Safeguard Summary Plan (SSP), Staff Action Plan (SAP).

Reviews all documentation, assess status and progress of the Staff Action Plan (SAP) and Safeguard Summary Plan (SSP).

Revises as needed to ensure that plans continue to reflect the individual’s abilities and need for protective oversight and supports.

Reviews Daily Service Recording monthly and generate Monthly Summary Notes based on the implementation of the Staff Action Plan.

Participate in activities which support the program(s) and/or the unit’s approach to providing optimum care for all individuals.

A bachelor’s or higher-level degree in a human services field is required. For the purpose of these qualifications, a degree in a human service field includes the professional disciplines of audiology, community mental health, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, vocational counseling, social work, speech/language pathology and therapeutic recreation (including concentrations in art, creative art, dance, drama, music, or physical education.)

Junior Field Representative, Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, St. George

Salary range: $55,093 to $71,719

Job description: Under general supervision, the Junior Field Representative assists the Project Manager and/or Field Representative in all aspects of a construction project, assisting in the management of field work, but also involving aspects including, but not limited to, contract administration and monitoring project budgets and schedules.

The Junior Field Representative undertakes assignments as directed and works both independently and under the general supervision of project assigned staff.

Weekly travel may be required, depending on assignment, using public transportation, DASNY vehicle, rental vehicle or personal vehicle.

This travel may include overnight stays at public accommodations and related establishments. The position requires exposure to weather and temperature extremes, loud noises, heights (climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc.) and other work safety hazards (chemicals, fumes, etc.)
