NYC civil service exam: Here are the salaries for positions open in October

The New York City civil service exam schedule is open for October, and some jobs pay more than others.

Exam applications currently open include: call center representative; computer associate (software) (NYC H+H); computer associate (technical support); computer associate (technical support) (NYC H+H); customer information representative; emergency medical specialist-EMT (fire); emergency medical specialist trainee; occupational therapist (DOE); physical therapist (DOE); public health adviser; public health adviser (school health); public health assistant (school health); public health educator; public health nurse (school health); recreation supervisor.
Open, competitive, computer-based tests are administered throughout each month for various positions. If you meet the basic requirements of the job, you can apply for your exam online at Online Application System (OASys) or at one of the Computer-Based Testing and Application Centers (CTAC).
Most exams have a deadline of Oct. 29. Applications for call center representative, emergency medical specialist-EMT (fire) and emergency medical specialist trainee have an extended deadline through Nov. 26.
