Career Exploration and Advancement Event to Connect Wyoming Workforce With Opportunity

At a time when workforce development and talent retention remain top priorities across Wyoming, the upcoming Career Exploration and Advancement Event, hosted by University of Wyoming at Casper and Casper College and sponsored by the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, aims to strengthen the connection between local employers and the region’s workforce.

The event will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union/University of Wyoming Building on the Casper College campus (third- and fourth-floor lobbies). Admission is free and open to anyone exploring career opportunities in Wyoming.

Bringing together dozens of businesses, state and federal agencies, educational programs and workforce partners, the event is designed to create direct, face-to-face connections between employers and potential employees — helping individuals take meaningful steps toward advancement while supporting Wyoming’s economic growth.

Organizers say the event goes beyond a traditional job fair by emphasizing long-term workforce development and career mobility. “This event is so important for those exploring career options, considering a career path change, or just wanting to come network and see all of the amazing career opportunities available right here in Wyoming,” says organizer and Organizational Leadership Program Director at UW Casper Rochelle Green.

In addition to meeting with employers, attendees will have access to practical tools to help them move forward with confidence.

Casper College Career Services will offer on-site assistance with résumé and cover letter development, along with career inventory tools designed to help participants clarify professional goals and identify next steps.

Heart of Wyoming Photography will provide free professional headshots, giving attendees the opportunity to enhance LinkedIn profiles and job applications with updated, high-quality images.

Texas Roadhouse will also be on site providing refreshments during the event.

The event is open to students, working professionals, recent graduates and those considering a career transition — particularly individuals seeking growth within Wyoming’s diverse industries.

The Career Exploration and Advancement Event will feature employers representing healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, finance, public safety, state and federal government, skilled trades, hospitality, transportation and more.
