Allowance Structure
Special Allowance After one year, it increases from Rs. 400 to Rs. 500, constituting 7.5% of the basic pay.
Dearness Allowance This element amounts to 4% of the Basic Pay and is subject to revision every three months based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
House rent allowance Housing Rent Allowance (HRA) varies according to the posting location: 8.5% of Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5% for cities with populations exceeding 500,000, and 6.5% for other cities.
Travel Allowance Banks reimburse these expenses exclusively for official tours and travels.
Medical Allowance The annual amount is fixed at Rs. 2000.
