Heartland offers grant funding for professional development

NORMAL — Heartland Community College is offering professional development training for area employers at a reduced cost.

Heartland is offering the training with some of the cost offset through a grant from the Noncredit Workforce Training Initiative, sponsored by the Illinois Community College Board.

The grant is available through March 31, 2025, to support employers seeking professional development services. Eligible organizations must be first-time clients or past clients who have not engaged in their services in the last three years.

The college’s business and industry solutions team in the Continuing Education department offers training in essential workplace skills and fundamental supervisory skills as well as other services including customized training and consultation.

These non-credit courses are part of ICCB’s “Behind Every Employer” initiative, which aims to raise awareness in the local workforce of affordable, high-quality professional development options.
