Cornerstone University’s Career Services is dedicated to mentoring students as they navigate the discovery process of pursuing meaningful work that provides fulfillment and opportunities to be bold, Christ-centered influencers in a wide variety of industries and ministries.
Employers are looking for degree-holders whose adaptable job skills and sophisticated interpersonal skills demonstrate they are reliable, hardworking, coachable and tenacious individuals prepared to innovate their teams. That’s why we partner with nationally known employment placement agency Express Employment to gather research, confirm what employers are asking for and provide students a Workplace Readiness Roadmap.
Explore the ways we prepare our graduates.
Interpersonal & Intrapersonal Skills
The CU Promise at Cornerstone provides deliberate career preparation by equipping students to be industry experts dedicated to ethical and moral decision-making.
CU LEAD Program
Learn. Engage. Acquire. Develop. Cornerstone students experience four years of intentional Christ-centered leadership development to prepare them with practical skills they need to succeed in their career, ministry and life. Through this journey, students receive leadership training tailored to their stage of growth. Most importantly, CU LEAD is rooted in Biblical leadership and character principles as image-bearers of Jesus Christ.
Faculty Mentorships
Faculty serve as industry experts, going beyond simply providing students with classwork guidance. Our faculty models Christ-centered professionalism and intentionally connects with students to offer opportunities for career advice, networking, professional conference participation, co-publishing, and internship supervision.
Internships
Career Services staff facilitate internship placement and supervision for students while students seek local and national internship opportunities in their chosen career fields. Because we know the value of hands-on job experience, on-campus students are required to complete at least one internship semester.
